Five Indian nationals have been killed in the West Asia conflict since the Iran-Israel war erupted on February 28, the MEA informed Saturday.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Saturday informed that five Indian nationals have been killed so far, 11 injured, while one was missing in the West Asia conflict so far, adding that Indian Missions across the region are open round the clock and constantly working to provide assistance to Indian expats.
Addressing a inter-ministerial briefing in New Delhi on West Asia conflict, MEA Additional Secretary (Gulf), Aseem Mahajan said all support is being rendered to the seafarers in the region and the MEA is in close coordination with the Ministry of Ports and Shipping.
“We have five Indians who have lost their lives and one who is missing in earlier incident. Our missions in Oman, Iraq, UAE remain in touch with the concerned authorities regarding the missing Indian national and for early repatriation of mortal remains of the deceased after completing requisite formalities,” he informed.
