As tensions continue to rise in the Persian Gulf, Iran’s envoy to India has hinted that Indian shipping could soon receive safe passage through the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, a corridor that plays a crucial role in global energy and trade flows.
Speaking to reporters, Mohammad Fathali suggested that developments ensuring India’s access through the narrow maritime route may happen very soon.
“Yes, because India is our friend. You will see it within two or three hours,” Fathali said when asked whether India would be granted safe transit through the waterway.
