The Election Commission of India is likely to announce the schedule for the upcoming Legislative Assembly elections in four states and one Union Territory on Sunday. The much-awaited announcement might be made at a press conference in New Delhi at 4 pm, according to India Today.
The elections will be held in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Kerala, Assam and the Union Territory of Puducherry.
The election schedule could be announced by the Commission panel led by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The panel also includes Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi.
