Praveen, Principal Correspondent, The Hindu, received the Swaraj Media Award (Print Media) for his report “Foot soldiers of Kerala’s silent revolution against waste.” The award carries a purse of ₹25,000, memento, and certificate. M.K. Suresh, Chief Reporter, Mathrubhumi, also won the award in the print media category. Schiller Stephan (Malayala Manorama) and P.V. Jijo (Deshabhimani) won special mention in the print category. Surjith Ayyappath (24 News) won the award in visual media, while Akhila Nandakumar (Asianet) got special mention.
