Growing influence of Artificial Intelligence highlighted
The College Day of Thiagarajar College of Engineering was celebrated here on Monday.
The chief guest, Rajesh Mittal, President and Managing Director, Isuzu India Private Limited, President, Isuzu Engineering Business Centre, in his address, spoke about the transformative era of AI and the need to leverage educational and institutional support for excellence.
Drawing inspiration from Japanese practices, he highlighted principles such as gemba (real place), genjitsu (reality), and kaizen (continuous improvement), along with the importance of balance, perseverance, and healthy living.
In his address, Chairman Hari Thiagarajan highlighted the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence, noting that AI is set to dominate the future and offers a significant edge over traditional Moore’s Law–driven progress.
Emphasising the importance of a ‘tech–human’ combination, he encouraged students to actively pursue AI research and announced that AI integration into the syllabus is under consideration.
He motivated students to stay future-ready and adaptable in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
