Odisha Governor inaugurates a CT scan facility in Vizianagaram, enhancing healthcare access for underserved patients.
Odisha Governor Kambhampati Haribabu on Wednesday inaugurated the new Computed Tomography (CT) scan facility in the Sri Gurudeva Charitable Trust hospital of Mangalampalem in Kothavalasa mandal, Vizianagaram district. He also inaugurated the aarogyasri ward and distributed artificial limbs to physically challenged persons.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that the nominal fee for the CT scan will benefit a large number of poor patients who could not afford to do a CT scan due to the cost involved. Mr. Haribabu added that the CT scan reports will help doctors provide proper treatment to patients. He lauded the trust founder Raparthi Jagadish Babu for extending services to patients as well as physically challenged persons in North Andhra region and other parts of the State.

More than six years after the State government launched the ₹ 821.97 crore (revised cost) Jalasiri project to augment drinking water supply infrastructure in the city, it has achieved 63 % physical progress and 59.61 % financial progress, according to Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation (KUIDFC) which is implementing the project for Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC)

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the aquarium created at a cost of ₹5 crore near District Science Centre at Kokkirakulam in Tirunelveli on Wednesday through videoconference. Following the announcement made in Tamil Nadu Budget for 2022 – 2023, this aquarium with 150 ornamental fishes and a sales outlet has been established to attract a large number of visitors, especially children. The visitors will be allowed from March 13.
