Three-year-old boy rescued near Gandipet temple after being dragged into bushes by stray dogs; now safe and recovering.
A three-year-old boy who went missing near the Gandimaisamma Temple in Gandipet was traced and rescued safely by the Narsingi police on Wednesday (March 4).
The child, Abhimanyu, had accompanied his father, Vadde Venkatesh of Tellapur village, and other family members to offer prayers at the temple. While Venkatesh was washing his face near the premises, the boy, who had been standing beside him, suddenly went missing. Alarmed family members immediately approached the police and lodged a complaint.
Four special teams were formed, and an intensive search operation was launched around the temple and surrounding areas. After combing the vicinity, police located the child in nearby bushes.
Preliminary findings indicated that the boy may have been dragged into the bushes by stray dogs. He sustained minor injuries in the incident and was immediately shifted to a private hospital, where he received timely medical treatment. Police said the child is now safe.
The boy’s parents expressed gratitude to the police team for their swift response and efforts in tracing their son. Police have advised devotees visiting temples and other crowded places to remain vigilant about the safety of their children and personal belongings.
