Case pertains to drug racket busted on a cruise on October 2
A special court under the Narcotics Drugs Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act on Wednesday rejected actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan’s bail plea in the case of drug racket busted on a cruise on October 2.
Mr. Aryan Khan, 23, who will continue to be lodged at the Arthur Road Jail, was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after it raided the cruise.
Special Judge V.V. Patil also rejected the bail pleas of Arbaaz Merchant, 26, and Munmun Dhamecha, 39 arrested with Mr. Khan on October 3.

The Centre has rejected reports that the definition of the Aravalli hills was changed to permit large-scale mining, citing a Supreme Court-ordered freeze on new leases. It said a court-approved framework will bring over 90% of the Aravalli region under protected areas and strengthen safeguards against illegal mining. The clarification follows controversy over the “100-metre” criterion used to define hills across states.
