SAD chief launches scathing attack on Congress, AAP
In a bid to take on the ruling Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ahead of the Assembly election in Punjab, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Tuesday announced that he would start a “100 days yatra” (tour) across 100 constituencies in the State. The yatra, he said, will start from the Zira constituency on August 18, with the aim “to expose the misdeeds of Congress government”. The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday ordered the issue of a notice to the State government on a PIL petition, which had complained about disturbances caused to people residing in the localities around the National Public School situated in Rajajinagar 5th block due to use of loudspeakers with high volume in the school and parking of school buses in residential areas.
