Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 129.85 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 405 cusecs and a discharge of 400 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the level was 64.70 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 206 cusecs and a discharge of 869 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 7,322.19 mcft. Mullaperiyar dam recorded a rainfall of 6.4 mm and Thekkadi 2.8 mm in the last 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Wednesday.
