Kottara Chowk was inundated blocking entry to Mangaluru from Udupi.
Two fishermen are missing after their boat capsized near the estuary at Tota Bengre in Mangaluru, due to heavy rains and wind early on May 30. Their names are Yashwant and Kamalaksha.

The boat is also missing while the diesel tank of the boat has washed ashore at Tota Bengre, sources said. Search is on for the missing fishermen and the boat.
The National Highway 66 (Udupi-Mangaluru) at Kottara Chowki in Mangaluru was flooded on May 30 as the raja kaluves (storm water drains) on both sides of the highway were overflowing. The highway was inundated, and so were the service roads and Kottara Chowki-Urwa Stores Road.
A portion of the compound wall of St. Antony Ashram collapsed resulting in damage to a portion of a house at Jeppu-Majila. A person was reportedly injured in the incident.
Flooding of some houses was reported from Jeppu Majila.
Rain water entered several industries in Baikampady Industrial Area in Mangaluru.
