
Traffic curbs in Hyderabad for Miss World heritage walk and dinner

Hyderabad Traffic Police issues advisory for Miss World 2025 Heritage Walk, with road closures and diversions in Old City.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police has issued an advisory ahead of the 72nd Miss World 2025 Heritage Walk at Charminar and a dinner at the Chowmahalla Palace on May 13. Vehicular movement will be restricted from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. across several stretches in the Old City, with major diversions in place.
Roads from Madina to Charminar, Charminar to Shalibanda, Shalibanda to Volga Junction, and Volga Junction to Moosabowli via Khilwat Road will be closed to all vehicles during this period.
Traffic from Nayapool to Charminar will be diverted at Madina towards City College. Vehicles from Shalibanda and Nagulchintha heading towards Charminar will be diverted at Himmatpura towards Haribowli and Fateh Darwaza. Volga Junction traffic will be redirected based on direction of flow, with no access towards Chowmahalla Palace.
Commuters from Puranapool will be diverted at Moosabowli, while those approaching from Chowk Maidan, Etebar Chowk, Mitti ka Sher, and Lakkad Kote will also be redirected through alternate lanes. These restrictions will apply to RTC buses as well, with certain routes curtailed or diverted via Chanchalguda, Saidabad, and Aramghar.
The police has warned of likely traffic congestion at major junctions including MJ Bridge, Nayapool, Madina X Road, Shalibanda, and Laldarwaza. Citizens are advised to plan travel accordingly and use alternative routes.
