Game-slayer, fantasy fan, and superhero-expert Nikhil smiled foolishly and agreed.
Nobody would have believed that, till yesterday, he had been half-hating Amma’s cousin, Mona Aunty for coming to stay along with her daughter. The rule was clear: when a guest visited, we had to share a room. But we didn’t have to like it!
We grumbled about Amma’s cousin, about her daughter, about our parents. It was a complete grumble fest.
When we met our guests, we stared at Mona Aunty’s daughter. Three-year-old Jhilmil had the sweetest smile. Her name was perfect for her. Then Jhilmil smiled and we were her slaves.
