Kannada Sahitya Parishat to host 88th Akhila Bharata Kannada Sahitya Sammelana in Ballari after 66 years.
The Kannada Sahitya Parishat has decided to organise the 88th Akhila Bharata Kannada Sahitya Sammelana, next year, in Ballari. This decision was taken at the executive committee meeting of the Parishat held late Saturday (December 21, 2024) night.
In the meeting, districts including Ballari, Kolar, Yadgir, Ramanagara and others submitted requests to host the Sahitya Sammelana. But finally, all the district committees agreed to host the Sammelana in Ballari district.
Ballari will be hosting the Sahitya Sammelana after 66 years. Sahitya Sammelanas were held in the district in 1926, 1938 and 1958.
The ongoing Sammelana at Mandya draws to a close on Sunday (December 22, 2024).
