Telangana High Court quashes FIR against BRS MLA Harish Rao in phone tapping case, citing lack of evidence.
Telangana High Court has quashed the First Information Report (FIR) registered against Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA from Siddipet and former Minister T. Harish Rao by the Panjagutta police in the phone tapping case.
The case was filed after a complaint by Chakradhar Goud from Siddipet who claimed that Harish Rao, as Minister in the BRS, had tapped his phone along with now suspended police officer P. Radha Kishan Rao. After hearing arguments from the both the parties, the High Court quashed the FIR citing lack of evidence against Mr. Harish Rao
Mr. Rao in a statement here said that the Panjagutta police filed an illegal case in December 2024 without any evidence and without conducting any investigation. He said the case was purely a political conspiracy and to harass him for questioning the government.

The draft policy for “Responsible Digital Use Among Students”, released on Monday by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, has recommended that parents set structured routines with clear screen-time rules and prioritise privacy, safety, and open conversation with children on digital well-being.
