Tata Motors launches the all-electric Harrier.ev, redefining Indian SUVs with cutting-edge performance, luxury, and technology.

Tata Motors has officially launched the all-electric Harrier.ev — an SUV that transcends traditional category benchmarks and redefines what a made-in-India vehicle can achieve. Built on Tata’s next-generation acti.ev+ pure EV architecture, the Harrier.ev merges capability with high-end sophistication, offering an experience that is touted to be as indulgent as it is adventurous.

At its core, the Harrier.ev is engineered for performance. A dual-motor setup delivers an extraordinary 504 Nm of torque, with 158 PS (116 kW) sent to the front axle and 238 PS (175 kW) to the rear. This Quad Wheel Drive configuration propels the SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in a segment-best 6.3 seconds, bringing supercar-like performance to the EV SUV space. Powered by a 75 kWh battery pack, the Harrier.ev also supports rapid 1.5C charging, enabling a 250 km top-up in 15 minutes. Real-world range estimates stand between 480 to 505 kilometres, making it as practical as it is thrilling.

The SUV’s terrain-conquering ability is equally advanced, offering six terrain modes — Normal, Grass/Snow, Mud/Gravel, Sand, Rock Crawl, and Custom — paired with Boost and Drift modes and off-road assist with low-speed cruise control. Features like Transparent Mode, which displays what is under the vehicle, and a 540-degree surround view system adds visibility for challenging trails.

Inside, the Harrier.ev is luxury on wheels. The Zenith Suite cabin features powered, ventilated, and memory front seats, a powered BOSS mode for extended rear seat legroom, dual-zone climate control with an air purifier, rear comfort headrests, ambient lighting synced with drive modes and music, rear sunshades, and wireless charging with 65W USB fast chargers. Utility is well covered too, with 502 litres of boot space (expandable to 999 litres), a 67-litre frunk in RWD models (35 litres in AWD), and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) as well as Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) power-sharing capabilities.

Tata’s digital innovations are showcased with features like Digi Access, which enables keyless entry using Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) tech on supported smartphones or smartwatches. A smart card and remote key with 11 commands including Remote Park and Summon Mode ensure convenience is never out of reach. DrivePay, India’s first in-car UPI-based payment system, integrates seamlessly with EV-specific navigation provided by Mappls. This includes spider range visualisation, battery-efficient routing, and charging station discovery.

The infotainment experience is headlined by a world-first: a 36.9 cm (14.53”) cinematic Harman display powered by Samsung Neo QLED — the world’s first Neo QLED automotive screen. The audio system features 10 JBL Black speakers with Dolby Atmos and multiple listening modes. The built-in Arcade.ev suite hosts over 25 apps, offering access to OTT platforms, FM radio, music, and podcasts.

Safety is comprehensive and cutting-edge. The Harrier.ev comes with Level 2 ADAS featuring over 20 functions, seven airbags, including a knee airbag, ESP with i-VBAC, Hill Descent and Hill Hold Control, TPMS, SOS Call function, Acoustic Vehicle Alert System (AVAS), and automatic wipers and headlamps. An HD rearview mirror with integrated dashcam (supporting up to 128 GB of storage) and blind spot view monitoring ensure a safe drive.
