T.N. Class 10 results: Performance of students from Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare schools improves in 2024-25
More than 90% of students from 273 schools under the administrative control of the Department of Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare in Tamil Nadu have passed the Class 10 examinations in the academic year 2024-25, results of which were declared on Friday (May 16, 2025).
According to official sources, 8,275 students from 206 Adi Dravidar Welfare and 67 Tribal Welfare schools appeared for the Class 10 exams this academic year. Out of 6,349 students from Adi Dravidar Welfare schools, 5,747 students passed the exams. The overall pass percentage of students from these schools stood at 90.52% — which is nearly five percentage points higher than the previous academic year.
The pass percentage was 85.54% in 2023-24, and 84% in 2022-23. As many as 97 Adi Dravidar Welfare schools recorded 100% pass this year. The pass percentages of girls and boys from these schools were 93.25% and 88.05%, respectively.
The performance of students from Tribal Welfare schools also improved this academic year. As many as 1,802 out of 1,926 students from these schools passed the Class 10 exams. The pass percentage stood at 93.56% — a marginal increase from 92.08% in the previous academic year. A total of 32 Tribal Welfare schools secured cent per cent results. The pass percentages of girls and boys from these schools were 93.72% and 93.40%, respectively.
A total of 6,234 students from 98 Adi Dravidar Welfare and 36 Tribal Welfare higher secondary schools appeared for the Class 11 exams this academic year.
Out of 4,722 students from the Adi Dravidar Welfare schools, 4,013 students passed the exams. The overall pass percentage of students from these schools stood at 84.99%. Girls outperformed boys by nearly nine percentage points. The pass percentages of girls and boys from these schools were 89.42% and 80.71%, respectively. Overall, 21 Adi Dravidar Welfare schools recorded 100% pass this year.
In Tribal Welfare schools, 1,420 out of 1,512 students passed the Class 11 exams. The pass percentage stood at 93.92%. Moreover, 15 out of 36 Tribal Welfare schools secured cent per cent results. The pass percentages of girls and boys from these schools were 95.78% and 91.92%, respectively.
