On October 15, the MLA met Union MoS for Railway V Somanna in Bengaluru along with representatives of Puttur-Subrahmanya Railway Users’ Association. She pointed out that Yeladka was identified as the ‘junction’ point for the proposed Kaniyoor-Kanhangad new railway line. The location, she said, has adequate land to develop a railway terminal with all necessary infrastructure, including pit lines, stabling lines, and coaching depot.
