Telangana government to install SP Balasubrahmanyam statue at Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad, honoring the legendary singer's legacy.
The Telangana State government has agreed to install a statue of legendary singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam at Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad, said the Music Culture Association, Telangana, in a press note.
The association has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. It also thanked Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, and IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu for their efforts in making this project a success. Official orders from the State government are expected to be issued soon.
The decision to install the statue at Ravindra Bharathi was made in accordance with Balasubrahmanyam’s wishes, and the association has welcomed the move. The statue is expected to be a fitting tribute to the legendary singer’s legacy, the note added.

The draft policy for “Responsible Digital Use Among Students”, released on Monday by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, has recommended that parents set structured routines with clear screen-time rules and prioritise privacy, safety, and open conversation with children on digital well-being.
