In a statement, Mr. Shivaji, who is also the party’s Amaravati Capital Committee’s core member, said the TDP and its allies reportedly mobilised a massive crowd for the event. However, Mr. Modi only said that he would stand by Andhra Pradesh, but did not announce any financial grants for building the capital city.
Mr. Shivaji said the Prime Minister spoke about the expenses incurred by his government at the Centre on Railways, farmers’ welfare, seeds and fertilizers and said that allocations had been increased to Andhra Pradesh.
“But in the recent Central Railway budget, Andhra Pradesh was given a raw deal, while Bihar received heavy allocations as part of an election promises,” he said.
