Pakistani troops violate ceasefire along LoC in Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Army responds swiftly, no casualties reported.
Pakistani troops continued to violate the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) by resorting to unprovoked firing in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch and Kupwara districts, Army officials said on Monday (April 28, 2025).
This was the fourth consecutive night that Pakistan resorted to unprovoked firing along the LoC and came amid heightened tension between New Delhi and Islamabad following last week’s terror attack in Pahalgam.
“During the night of April 27-28, Pakistan Army posts initiated unprovoked small arms fire across the LoC in areas opposite Kupwara and Poonch districts,” the Army officials said.
“Indian troops responded swiftly and effectively,” they added.
There were no reports of any casualties.
Pakistani Army fired at different Indian positions along the Line of Control (LoC) on Thursday (April 24, 2025) night, as well as on the intervening nights of April 25-26 and April 26-27, each time meeting with appropriate response.
