Pakistan's internal turmoil leads to terror attacks in Jammu & Kashmir, BJP president calls for peace and support for Modi.
Pakistan beset with internal turmoil due to food shortage and unemployment is foisting trouble in Jammu & Kashmir with terror attacks to divert the attention of its people, claimed Telangana BJP president and Union Minister of Coal & Mines G. Kishan Reddy on Tuesday.
The entire world has condemned the Pahalgam terror attack and we should keep faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi who had assured severe punishment for the perpetrators of the crime and those behind it, he said.
Speaking at the meeting of district presidents and other office bearers at the State office on Tuesday, Mr. Reddy emphasised the need to maintain peace and harmony in the country and take the people along under the present circumstances.
J&K was developing in all spheres post the revocation of Article 370 with stone pelting incidents drastically coming down and reservations for the under-privileged provided for the first time post Independence. But, this was not to the liking of Pakistan so it had conspired to disturb the peace and tranquility, he maintained.
The Modi government has ‘zero tolerance’ towards terrorism and had tried to put an end to terrorism in J&K. During the last 10 years it has put an end to serial bomb blasts, communal violence and terror attacks, claimed the BJP leader.
Mr. Reddy said that the MLC polls had shown that the GHMC elections will be a straight fight between the Majlis Party and the BJP. The meeting also passed a resolution condemning the Pahalgam terror attacks. National general secretary Sunil Bansal and others were present.
