Operation Sindoor: 29 flights cancelled to and from KIA

29 flights cancelled at Kempegowda International Airport due to airspace closure in north India on May 7, 2025.
Due to the airspace closure in north India, 29 flights were cancelled to and from the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on Wednesday. The airport had issued a passenger advisory on the disruption of flight service due to the airspace restriction.
“Due to prevailing airspace restrictions, some flights have been cancelled on May 7, 2025. We request passengers to verify their status with their respective airlines before heading to the airport. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time,” stated the advisory.
Airport officials said that 15 arrivals and 14 departures were cancelled due to the airspace restrictions.
Among the flights affected were 10 inbound Indigo flights and nine departures. Four Air India and three Air India Express flights were also cancelled.
As per Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) information issued at 3.30 p.m. (IST) on Wednesday, 25 airports are closed till 11.50 p.m. (UTC) on May 9. Chandigarh, Srinagar, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jammu, and Leh are among the airports.
