Prime Minister Modi plants symbolic sapling on World Environment Day as a tribute to courageous women.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi planted a 'sindoor' sapling, presented to him by a group of women who had shown remarkable courage during the 1971 war, at his residence on World Environment Day on Thursday (June 5, 2025).
The gesture is also being seen as a nod to the recent Operation Sindoor.
