NWKRTC launches "Namma bus nildana, swaccha nildana" campaign to rate cleanliness and amenities at bus stations.
In a bid to ensure good upkeep of bus stations, North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) has launched “Namma bus nildana, swaccha nildana” (Our bus station, clean station) campaign.
Under the campaign, bus passengers and commuters are encouraged to scan QR code displayed at the bus stations and rate cleanliness and other aspects.
Chairman of NWKRTC Bharamagouda (Raju) Kage, vice-chairman Peersab Kautal and managing cirector M. Priyanga released the campaign posters with QR code at the NWKRTC central office in Hubballi on Friday.
Under the campaign, passengers are requested to scan the QR code and rate cleanliness at bus stations, maintenance of toilets, waste disposal, display of usage fee at toilets, availability of drinking water and staff behavior and other aspects.
Based on the ranking received for each bus station, NWKRTC plans to reward the good ones and staff by giving them prizes.
The chairman, the vice-chairman and the managing director have appealed to passengers to scan the QR code and register their opinion on various aspects pertaining to bus stations so that it will not only help in identifying the best but also in addressing problems with regard to amenities in bus stations.
They said that the campaign will also help in improving the upkeep of bus stations and the staff behaviour.
