Nine new buses inducted into service in Erode

Collector Raja Gopal Sunkara launches nine new buses in Erode Region, enhancing public transportation with new routes.
Collector Raja Gopal Sunkara flagged off nine new buses at the Corporation’s Central Bus Terminal in the presence of Anthiyur MLA A.G. Venkatachalam, Mayor S. Nagarathinam, Corporation Commissioner (in charge) and Deputy Commissioner K. Dhanalakshmi, TNSTC General Manager Sivakumar, and other officials.
The Collector said that 65 new buses had been allotted to the Erode Region for public service. Of these, 59 are regular buses, five are town buses, and one is a small bus for operation in hilly areas. The new services will operate on routes including Anthiyur–Kongadai, Bhavani–Perundurai, Surampatti–Bhavani, Bus Stand–Chennimalai, Bus Stand–Sivagiri, Bus Stand–Tiruchengode, Bus Stand–Perundurai, Bhavani–Ingur, and Bus Stand–Thudupathi.
Each bus costs ₹44 lakh, and the total cost for all nine buses is ₹3.96 crore, the Collector added.
