
NCC camp begins at Mannar

A national training camp of the National Cadet Corps got underway at Nair Samajam Higher Secondary School, Mannar, on Thursday. It was inaugurated by NCC Kollam Group Commander Colonel Suresh G. Around 300 cadets from across the country are participating in the camp. The programme includes yoga sessions, study on national security and the defence system, arts and sports competitions, and study tours to historical monuments and tourist destinations in Alappuzha and Kollam districts. 10 Kerala Battalion NCC Commanding Officer Colonel Alphons presided.

The draft policy for “Responsible Digital Use Among Students”, released on Monday by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, has recommended that parents set structured routines with clear screen-time rules and prioritise privacy, safety, and open conversation with children on digital well-being.
