MLRIT students bag 2nd prize in drone challenge event
Students of MLR Institute of Technology (MLRIT) secured the second prize in overall performance at the SAE Drone Development Challenge (DDC) 2025–26, hosted by KCG College of Technology, Chennai.
Team Meghdooth, comprising third-year mechanical engineering students demonstrated outstanding capabilities in drone design, fabrication, flight performance, efficiency, and overall engineering excellence. The performance earned them the second prize along with a cash award of ₹45,000.
MLRIT secretary and Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajashekar Reddy said the institution consistently stays ahead in showcasing student talent at national-level competitions. Principal V. Radhika Devi and Prof. M. Venkateshwar Reddy, chairman of SAE Hyderabad Division, appreciated the students. The students were mentored by Dr. P. Pramod Kumar and Sai Kumar.

The draft policy for “Responsible Digital Use Among Students”, released on Monday by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, has recommended that parents set structured routines with clear screen-time rules and prioritise privacy, safety, and open conversation with children on digital well-being.
