Mar Ivanios College is set to observe the consecration of its alumnus, Romanus Elamu Mihali, as the Bishop of Iringa, Tanzania, on April 27.
The Bishop-elect, Monsignor Mihali, who hails from Itulituli in Mufindi, had completed his higher education in India from 2005 to 2011, when he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Zoology from Mar Ivanios College, and a Bachelor of Education from Mar Theophilos Teachers’ Training College.
Upon his Episcopal consecration, he will become the sixth indigenous Bishop of the Diocese of Iringa, according to a press note.
