
Mangaluru students excel in JEE Mains examination

Mangaluru students excel in JEE Main with high percentiles from various educational institutes, showcasing exceptional academic performance.
Students from education institutes in Mangaluru have excelled in the two sessions of JEE Main examination held this year.
From Excellent Science and Commerce Pre-University College, Moodbidri, Shishir H. Shetty was ranked 528 with 99.97 percentile marks, followed by Shreyank Manohar Pai (99.82) and S. Karthik (99.02). A total of 97 students qualified for JEE (Advanced) examination. Apart from three students who scored more than 99 percentile marks, five students scored more than 98, 12 scored more than 97, and 60 students scored more than 90 percentile, said Yuvaraj Jain, president of the institution, in a press release.
A total of 31 students from the two Expert Pre-University Colleges in Mangaluru secured more than 99 percentile marks, 83 students scored above 98, 123 students scored above 97, 170 students scored above 96, 206 students scored above 95, and 405 students scored above 90 percentile marks. Of these, B. Avaneesh topped with 99.93, followed by G. Lohit scoring 99.88 and Aniketh Magadam, 99.78. Six students secured 100 percentile in Physics and Chemistry, said the institute in a press release.
From Alva’s Pre-University College Moodbidri, four students secured more than 99 percentile, 14 secured more than 98, 45 scored more than 97, 91 students scored more than 95 and 192 score more than 90 percentile marks. Toppers among these were B.J. Puneet Kumar (99.69), Akshay M. Hegde (99.58), Tushar Ghanshyam Patil (99.38) and Roshan Shetty (99.04), the institute said in a press release.
Among the students from Vivekananda Pre-University College, Puttur, K.L. Sahan topped with 99.28, followed by S.G. Ashish, 96.61, G.S. Tanmay Krishna, 95.73, and Teja Chinmaya Holla, 93.81.
A total of eight students of Shakti PU College, Mangaluru, qualified for the JEE (Advanced) examination. Toppers among the students were Anurag R Naik (97.88), Kishan Gowda (95.51) and Tanuj Halbi (93.64).
Aniket D. Shetty and A. Vittal Das, who were trained at Aakash Educational Services Limited’s unit in Mangaluru, secured 99.9 percentile, the firm stated in a press release.
