Tejashwi Yadav accuses Bihar CM's aides of nepotism, preventing Nishant Kumar from entering politics, criticizes PM Modi's visit.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday (June 18, 2025) claimed that leaders close to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar were preventing Nishant Kumar, son of the Janata Dal(U) chief, from entering politics.
Mr. Yadav alleged that close aides of Mr. Kumar were busy getting their relatives appointed to organisations in the State, as the Chief Minister was in an “unconscious state”.

Referring to the leaders as Bhoonja Party (colloquialism for the Chief Minister’s inner circle) he said, “They have got the god’s blessing that Chief Minister is unstable and in an unconscious state. Sanjay Jha has pitched both his daughters [for posts], Ashok Choudhary has pitched his daughter, and Deepak Kumar has pitched his wife.”
He further said, “When Nishant Kumar wants to enter politics, these same people who are feeling uncomfortable have conspired not to allow him to enter politics.”
Two days ago, Mr. Yadav accused the Bihar Chief Minister of favouritism, pointing how the Union Government had given the post of Advocate-on-Record (AOR) in the Supreme Court to the daughter of Mr. Jha, who is the national working president of the JD(U).
Similarly, Mr. Choudhary’s daughter, Shambhavi Choudhary, is an MP from Samastipur. She won on ticket provided by the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas).
