Cong. demand to forsake local tax is to help Centre, says Vijayaraghavan
The Left Democratic Front (LDF) on Monday seemed disinclined to slash or forsake State government levy on fuel. LDF convenror A. Vijayaraghavan said the Congress had provided cover to the BJP at the Centre by demanding the State government forsake local fuel tax. Earlier, he had convened an LDF meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Mr. Vijayaraghavan said the Centre had hiked the price of fuel 31 times since May 6. The rising fuel bill had played havoc with household budgets.More Related News
