Kerala reported 16,229 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, when 1,09,520 samples were tested in 24 hours. The test positivity rate (TPR), which was being maintained around 15% for the past three days, dropped to 14.82% on Thursday. The State’s active case pool dipped further to 1,74,526, with 25,860 more recovering. The State added 135 recent deaths to the official list on Friday.
