YSRCP Member of Parliament from Araku G. Tanuja Rani has urged Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to keep the Araku railway station under the Waltair Division as shifting it to the Rayagada Division will hurt the sentiments of lakhs of tribal people. Dr. Tanuja, who met the Railway Minister in New Delhi on Thursday, said the Railways decision caused tension among people of Araku and other parts of her constituency. She said tourism would also be affected if the station was disconnected from Andhra Pradesh. She urged the public representatives to raise their voice on the issue.
