Magistrate court had issued a bailable warrant after she failed to appear despite summons
Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut has approached the Bombay High Court challenging the criminal defamation proceedings initiated by the Metropolitan Magistrate. She has sought quashing of all the proceedings initiated by the Magistrate. The magistrate court on March 1 issued a bailable warrant against Ms. Ranaut after she failed to appear despite summons. The petition says the Magistrate was duty-bound to examine the actor before directing an inquiry. The matter will be heard by a Division Bench of Justices S.S. Shinde and N.J. Jamadar on July 26.More Related News
