INCOIS in Hyderabad detects 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Myanmar, no tsunami threat due to land-based location.
Tsunami Warning Centre at the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) in Hyderabad has detected an earthquake of magnitude 7.8 at 11:50 a.m. in Myanmar (Location: 22.07°N 96.04°E). Since this earthquake is land-based (about 350 km from the coast), no tsunami threat alert has been issued, as per a press note issued on Friday (March 28, 2025).

The draft policy for “Responsible Digital Use Among Students”, released on Monday by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, has recommended that parents set structured routines with clear screen-time rules and prioritise privacy, safety, and open conversation with children on digital well-being.
