Notably these new two buses are part of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation’s (TNSTC) free bus service for women.
Similarly two new buses were introduced on the Thiruchendur Bus Stand to Subramaniayaswamy temple bus stop route and one bus from Srivaikuntam to Sathankulam, making a total of five new buses across the district.
At the event the officials stated that only 10 old city buses remain in service in the district and these would be replaced with new buses in the upcoming months.
