Fire breaks out at furniture godown in Patancheru, no casualties reported
A fire broke out at a furniture manufacturing unit-cum-godown in Pati village of Patancheru, Sangareddy district, on Friday evening. While thick smoke and flames engulfed the premises, no casualties or injuries were reported.
According to an officer from the fire control room, the blaze was reported at Anu Furniture godown, a facility that also serves as a manufacturing unit.
“The alert was received, prompting the dispatch of three fire tenders from nearby stations, along with a robot from Rangareddy district,” said the officer.
Fire-fighters managed to bring the situation under control after a short operation. There were no rescue efforts required, as the premises were unoccupied at the time of the incident. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

The draft policy for “Responsible Digital Use Among Students”, released on Monday by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, has recommended that parents set structured routines with clear screen-time rules and prioritise privacy, safety, and open conversation with children on digital well-being.
