TPCC president and Bhuvanagiri MP criticize BJP MP Eatala Rajender for disrespectful comments against CM Revanth Reddy.
TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud and Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy said BJP MP Eatala Rajender was frustrated with being ignored, and he was trying to catch the attention of the national leaders by using abusive language against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
At a press conference, Mr. Goud issued a stern warning to the BJP MP and asserted that Congress activists would not remain silent to such cheap and disrespectful comments against the Chief Minister. Criticising Mr. Rajender for making caste-based remarks, he sarcastically asked whether the BJP MP belonged to the BC or Reddy community. Mr. Rajender’s wife belongs to the Reddy community.
Mr. Goud wondered how can the BJP MP be so indecent despite his political experience. He alleged that Mr. Rajender was one of ‘KCR Alibaba’s Chalees Chors’ who, during his tenure as Finance Minister in the BRS government, was responsible for Telangana’s financial distress.
Mr. Goud reminded that Mr. Rajender was thrown out of the BRS government on the charges of land grabbing and asked him whether he had forgotten that he was accused of grabbing endowment lands. He said Mr. Rajender joined the BJP out of desperation and not conviction after falling out with the BRS.
Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy said the BJP MP had lost ideological clarity after shifting from leftist roots to the right-wing BJP. “He is confused and delusional, imagining he can become the BJP State president by unfairly criticising CM Revanth Reddy. Don’t vent your frustration on Revanth Reddy if the BJP is not making you president,” Mr. Reddy said.
The Bhuvanagiri MP also claimed that senior BJP leaders were ignoring Eatala and that his behaviour was tarnishing the State’s political culture.
