SSUS History Department hosts Dalit Bandhu lecture by Prof. Bhangya Bhukya on Adivasi historiography and societal integrity.
The Department of History at Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit (SSUS), Kalady, organised the Dalit Bandhu memorial lecture on Tuesday. Bhangya Bhukya, Professor of History at the University of Hyderabad, delivered the lecture on ‘Writing Adivasis: Epistemological and Methodological Concerns’.
He traced the historiography of Adivasi studies, which were largely written from an outsider’s perspective, that failed to give ideological integrity to the Adivasi society, said a communication. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Geethakumari K.J. delivered the inaugural address.
