Anna University in Chennai has launched a new M.Tech programme on Climate Change and Disaster Management from this academic year.
To be offered through the Centre for Climate Change and Disaster Management, the course will seek to drive learning with a comprehensive understanding of climate systems, disaster risk reduction, and resilience planning using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
The course will enable students to develop expertise in climate and monsoon modelling for policy framing or climate adaptation, and pursue research and innovation in sustainable environmental, ecological, and social technologies.
