Alanganallur Jallikattu begins on a high; gallery packed with tourists

Alanganallur Jallikattu kicks off with excitement, featuring thrilling bull taming and prizes including a car for the winner.

Before the start, the organisers, along with the participants, took a pledge to adhere to the rules and not violate the guidelines to be followed as laid out by the apex court. The members of the Animal Welfare Board of India are present at the venue.

Animal Husbandry department officials have issued tokens to the bull tamers after examining them. Likewise, the bulls too have been subjected to examination, they added.
