AKNU’s mega yoga event enters Telugu Book of Records

Over 16,000 students participate in mass yoga demonstration at Adikavi Nannaya University, promoting physical and mental well-being.
More than 16,123 students from over 400 constituent and affiliated colleges participated in a mass yoga demonstration held at the Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) grounds near Rajamahendravaram city on Wednesday.
The event held as part of the Yogandhra-2025, International Yoga Day celebrations, was led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. S. Prasanna Sree. The yoga session began at 8:00 a. m. and trained yoga experts from the Raparthi Foundation demonstrated the asanas.
“The Telugu Book of Records officially recognised the event as the largest yoga performance by students in the State.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Prasanna Sree said: “It is a historic milestone for AKNU and the the Yogandhra campaign. Yoga is not just about physical fitness. It promotes a healthy mind, a balanced life, and a conscious way of living.”
