
Admissions begin for T.N. engineering, polytechnic, arts and science colleges

TNEA2025 single-window admission process for engineering, polytechnic, and arts and science programs in Tamil Nadu.
The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA 2025) committee on Wednesday (May 7, 2025) commenced the single-window admission process for engineering, polytechnic, and arts and science programmes for the academic year 2025-26.
Higher Education Minister Govi Chezhiaan launched the websites for the same at a function in Anna University, Chennai. He also exchanged MoUs with five companies for student-training programmes.
The last date to register for online admissions through www.tneaonline.org is June 6 and the last date to upload documents is June 9. Random numbers will be assigned on June 11 and certificate verification will be conducted online at the TNEA facilitation centres from June 10 to 20. The rank list will be published on June 27, and students may get their grievances redressed from June 29 to July 2.
With 11 government engineering colleges introducing new degree programmes, an additional 720 students will be admitted.
The government has established 110 TFAs, and candidates may contact officials at 1800-425-0110 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to get their doubts cleared. They may also send an email to tneacare@gmail.com.
In 2024-25, 463 engineering colleges with 2,42,231 seats participated in the counselling process. As many as 1,78,070 candidates were enrolled. This is 4.82% more than the previous year, officials said.
Under the 7.5% reservation category, 11,355 candidates of the 13,496 eligible candidates from government schools — an increase of 12.63% as compared to 2023-24 — were admitted.
