16 Stretchers donated to Thoothukudi Government Medical College Hospital

Private company donates 16 stretchers worth ₹2 lakh to Thoothukudi Government Medical College and Hospital through CSR funds.
Sixteen stretchers were donated to Thoothukudi Government Medical College and Hospital on Monday, under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds from a private company.
A medical equipment donation event was held at the hospital. Collector K. Elambahavath presided over the event and handed over the 16 stretchers to the hospital administration for patient use. The stretchers worth ₹2 lakh were donated through CSR funds by K.R. Promoters.
Thoothukudi Revenue Divisional Officer M. Prabhu, Dean G. Sivakumar, Medical Superintendent Padmanabhan, Resident Medical Officer Silas Jeyamani and other staff were present.

The draft policy for “Responsible Digital Use Among Students”, released on Monday by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, has recommended that parents set structured routines with clear screen-time rules and prioritise privacy, safety, and open conversation with children on digital well-being.
