
Two injured in clash during Ganesha idol immersion in Krishna district

Tension prevailed at Thotamula village in Pedana mandal in Krishna district when two groups clashed during Ganesha idol immersion (Nimajjanam) on September 13 morning. Two villagers suffered minor injuries and were admitted in a hospital. The incident occurred when a group of people raised slogans against devotees taking part in a Ganesha idol-immersion procession and objected to them taking the idol in a tractor.More Related News

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday ordered the issue of a notice to the State government on a PIL petition, which had complained about disturbances caused to people residing in the localities around the National Public School situated in Rajajinagar 5th block due to use of loudspeakers with high volume in the school and parking of school buses in residential areas.
