Lok Sabha witnesses disruption after Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra’s remarks on judge’s death
The Lok Sabha on Friday (December 13, 2024) witnessed two adjournments after Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju warned Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra for her remarks about the death of a judge, the circumstances of whose death were examined and settled by the Supreme Court. Participating in a debate on 75 years of the Indian Constitution, Ms. Moitra made a passing, but contentious remark, on a judge’s death while while targeting the BJP for alleged attempts to silence institutions and Opposition leaders critical of the government.
