Madras High Court dismisses petitions to ban 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' during Tamil Nadu elections, citing lack of specific objections.
The Madras High Court, on Friday (April 10, 2026), dismissed two public interest litigation (PIL) petitions filed for preventing the continued screening of Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar: The Revenge in Tamil Nadu until the declaration of results of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
First Division Bench of Chief Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari and Justice G. Arul Murugan said, the petitioners had neither challenged the certificate issued by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) nor highlighted specific portions of the film that were objectionable.
