KKCCI team meets Joshi on flight services, PM MITRA Textiles Park issues

KKCCI meets Minister Joshi to discuss resuming Kalaburagi flight services and advancing the PM MITRA Textiles Park project.
A delegation of the Kalyana Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KKCCI) met Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Pralhad Joshi in New Delhi on Thursday and pressed for the early resumption of flight services in Kalaburagi and expediting the PM MITRA Textiles Park Project in the region.
The delegation, led by KKCCI president Sharanabasappa M. Pappa and comprising managing committee members Santosh Suresh Nandyal and Sampath V. Patil, discussed these issues in detail with the Minister.
During the meeting, Mr. Joshi is learnt to have immediately contacted Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu and conveyed the concern raised by the delegation. It was told that flight services from Kalaburagi airport will be resumed within a month, the KKCCI said.
The Central Minister also said that the development of the Kalyana Karnataka region, including the PM MITRA Textiles Park, will be taken up at the Union Cabinet level and necessary steps will be expedited, according to a release.
The delegation invited Mr. Joshi to attend the KKCCI diamond jubilee celebrations scheduled to be held from November 27 to 29, 2026, marking 60 years of service to traders, industrialists and farmers in the region.
As part of the outreach, the KKCCI representatives also met several prominent personalities at the JSS Educational Campus in Noida and invited them to the event.
