
SC/ST Act case accused externed to Bengaluru

The Udupi Superintendent of Police Hariram Shankar has ordered externment of Karthik Achar from Kundapur taluk, an accused in three Scheduled Caste Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocity) Act cases, to Bengaluru.
The Udupi Superintendent of Police Hariram Shankar has ordered externment of Karthik Achar from Kundapur taluk, an accused in three Scheduled Caste Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocity) Act cases, to Bengaluru.
According to a press release, Mr. Shankar exercised his power as Special Executive Magistrate to issue order on April 9 to extern Achar to Peenya Police Station limits of Bengaluru City.
Apart from three cases under the SC/ST Act, Achar was also accused in another criminal case. A rowdy sheet was opened against Achar at the Kollur Police Station, the police said.
